Privacy Policy

We take every effort to protect the privacy of everyone who shares their personal contact information with us. This includes anyone who:

• is either an active or inactive member of the choir,
• asks to be added to our mailing list because they are interested in joining the choir,
• purchased tickets to one of our concerts over any last 12 months, subject to the terms of agreements we may make with The Port Theatre for the release of ticket-buyer information, and/or
• asks to be added to our mailing list because they are interested in attending our concerts.

We do not share any information from our databases with any other person, group or organization, except as needed to accomplish the activities mentioned below.

Any questions about our privacy practices should be forwarded to the Choir Manager.

Commmunication practices by segment

active choir Members

We use the personal information of members who register for the current session only to:

• Track and support members' participation in the choir during the current choir session.
• Email members about the choir's activities, plans, surveys, and news during the current choir session.
• Create a member directory that is posted on the password-protected members page of the website, as a resource for choir members who are looking for support with learning their parts, carpooling, and/or billeting on concert weekends. Members have the option to withhold any or all of their personal data from this member directory.

inactive choir members

We use personal information that we collected from inactive choir members when they last registered, to advise them about opportunities to:

• Rejoin the choir for any upcoming choir session.
• Attend our concerts and other special choral events that may be suitable.

interested choir members

We email everyone who has signed up for our "interested in joining" mailing list, to advise them about opportunities to:

• Register for each next available choir session.
• Attend our concerts and other special choral events that may be suitable.

past audience members

After each concert, we may enter into an agreement with The Port Theatre for the release of that concert's ticket-buyer data, so that we can connect with our previous audience, via email, to promote our next concert. We may also email these patrons a last-minute reminder closer to the concert date.

interested audience members

We email everyone who signs up to be added to our "patron" mailing list, to provide them with information about each of our subsequent concerts and how to buy tickets, including sending them a reminder email closer to each concert.
